The Murphys Hotel’s Venues to Cater
The Murphys Historic Hotel offers three venues for event services year-round. The hotel’s central location and onsite lodging creates the perfect unique environment for guests to host their events. The hotel has hosted wine tastings, paired dinners, author readings, business retreats, nonprofit fundraisers, weddings, reunions, parties and much more. Our event staff will assist you in the preparation and execution of your successful event.
Mark Twain Ballroom
20-70 people
An elegant dining experience, the Mark Twain Ballroom seats up to 70 guests and is perfect for parties of 20 or more. Capacity depends on event seating arrangements.
The Ballroom is decorated with intricate old-time chandeliers, paintings of famous guests such as Mark Twain and an example of the original wallpaper. The Ballroom was part of the original floor plan and has been used for special events since 1856.
Creekside Patio
80-220 people
Located at the rear of the hotel property, this venue offers a private yet open location for ceremonies.
Murphys Creek runs alongside, with a small waterfall adding a touch of nature to your experience.
Upper and Lower Patios
50-160 people
This venue is situated directly adjacent to the historic building beautiful rose bushes, historic ambiance, and the Murphys Hotel Stagecoach make for interesting photo opportunities for newlyweds. Optional tent covering is available
